CCTV installation in Kumluca means the IP security camera systems we install to record the district's large greenhouse areas, packing houses, cold stores and business entrances. Kumluca is one of the biggest covered-farming areas in western Antalya. The roads between greenhouses are long, perimeters are open, and at harvest time trucks come and go all day. What owners expect from the cameras is clear: to see afterwards when produce, equipment and store doors were used, and by whom.

What we watch at large farming businesses

During the survey we first list the risk points. At Kumluca businesses the list usually looks like this:

  • Greenhouse perimeters: long-range or thermal cameras for long, straight edges. A thermal camera detects people and vehicles by their heat in darkness and on misty mornings; where detail is needed we pair it with a colour camera.
  • Packing and grading facilities: sorting lines, loading bays, crate and pallet stock areas.
  • Cold stores: doors and the area in front of them, with housings suited to humidity and low temperatures inside.
  • Entrance gates: number plate recognition (LPR) cameras for produce trucks, so every vehicle and time in and out is logged and shipments are easy to check in the busy season.
  • Fertiliser, chemical and equipment stores: closed areas where valuable inputs are kept.

There is one thing we watch for with night vision inside a greenhouse. If the camera sits close to the plastic cover, infrared light bounces off the plastic and the image turns white. So we either move cameras outside the cover or angle them so they do not face the plastic directly, adding an external infrared illuminator if needed.

CCTV installation in Kumluca for a single farm or business: 20 to 30 cameras

For one greenhouse business, a small packing workshop or a roadside shop, a single NVR is usually enough. With a 32-channel NVR, a PoE switch and Cat6 cabling the setup stays simple and easy to maintain. We agree the retention period with you and size the disks for it. The owner and staff watch on their phones, and we separate per user who can view live and who can download recordings.

The same size fits holiday homes and small guesthouses towards Adrasan and Mavikent, where owners who live abroad want to see the gate, garden and parking from their phone. Recording stays on the NVR on site, so a weak connection does not mean lost footage, and a 4G router can carry remote viewing where there is no fixed line. See our villas and smart homes page for what we do at private homes.

100 to 400 cameras: greenhouse complex, packing plant, cooperative

When the count reaches the hundreds, the design changes. Instead of one NVR we use several, each covering a zone, all brought together under central VMS (video management software). The security guard sees the whole site on one screen, and if one NVR fails the others keep recording. Distances between greenhouses can reach hundreds of metres, too far for copper cable, so we build the backbone with fibre and use point-to-point wireless links where cable cannot be laid.

Power cuts and remote poles

Short power cuts can be frequent on rural lines, and the moment of a cut may be exactly when recording matters most. We put the NVR, switches and fibre converters behind a UPS. On perimeter poles where mains power cannot reach, we install camera sets that run on a solar panel and battery. Outdoor cameras are IP66 or IP67, with housings that stand up to spraying and humidity.

Brands and network

Depending on the project we supply and install Hikvision, Dahua, HiLook and Hanwha Wisenet. We plan the network at the same time, keeping the camera network apart from the business network and setting up remote access securely. Facilities that want staff entrances recorded can run the cameras together with an access control system.

Privacy: staff are on camera too

People working in the greenhouses and packing lines are in view of the cameras. Under KVKK, Turkey's personal data protection law, the three basic steps are information signs at entrances, a sensible retention period and access to recordings only for authorised people. Changing and rest areas stay out of view.

Distance and support

Our office is in Muratpaşa, roughly 1.5 to 2 hours' drive from Kumluca. So we plan the survey and installation in advance and send the team with all the equipment. After installation we monitor the system remotely and handle most settings and software support remotely, with planned visits when on-site work is needed. We also work in neighbouring Finike, Demre and Kaş and Kalkan. The full service is on our CCTV installation in Antalya page; to request a survey, use our contact page or call +90 552 637 07 07.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many cameras do we need around a large greenhouse area?
It depends on the length of the perimeter, how flat the land is and whether you need night vision. Long-range or thermal cameras cover a longer stretch each, which can lower the total. During the survey we walk the perimeter and mark the camera points and viewing distances.
Can we record the number plates of trucks entering our packing house?
Yes. We install plate recognition (LPR) cameras at the entry and exit gates. The camera reads the plate and stores it with the time, and you can search later by plate or date. For reliable reading we check the camera angle and vehicle speed on site.
Do the cameras keep recording during a power cut?
If the NVR, switches and fibre converters are on a UPS, recording continues through the cut. How long depends on UPS capacity and the power drawn by the connected devices. On remote poles with no mains power we use cameras that run on a solar panel and battery.
Why might a night vision camera inside a greenhouse give a poor picture?
Infrared light reflects off the nearby plastic cover back into the camera and washes out the image. Moving the camera outside the cover, angling it away from the plastic or using an external infrared illuminator solves the problem.
How do installation and service work in Kumluca?
Because our office is in Muratpaşa, Antalya, we carry out surveys and installation on planned dates. Afterwards we monitor the system remotely and provide settings and user support remotely, and we schedule a visit when on-site work is needed.
